The short version

No account, no login, no advertising network. We never ask about your diet, your health, or your allergies, and there's nowhere on this site to tell us.

What we hold

• Your email address, only if you gave it for the newsletter.
• Anything you write to us.
• Ordinary server logs, kept briefly for security and fault diagnosis.

Analytics

This site runs no analytics or tracking software at present. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel. When measurement is added it will be open-source software on our own server, with no cookies and no stored IP address, and this section will name it on the day it starts.

Fonts

This site serves its typefaces itself, so loading them doesn’t send your IP address to Google or any other font service.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no consent banner. Affiliate links are the one case worth understanding, because a cookie is involved. It's set by another company after you leave. Explained below.

Affiliate links and cookies

There are no affiliate links on this site today. This describes what will happen when there are.

When you click an affiliate link you leave this site for a shop's website. That shop will normally place a cookie in your browser to record that you came from here, so that if you buy something they know to pay us a commission.

That cookie is theirs, set on their site, under their privacy policy. We don't place it, can't read it, and never see it. How long it lasts is their decision. Some expire within a day, others last thirty days or more.

What reaches us is a commission, not your identity. We aren't told who you are, your email, your payment details, or what else is in your basket.

You never have to use our links. The price is the same either way.

The newsletter

• Used to send the newsletter. Nothing else.
• Never sold, rented or shared.
• Every edition has a working unsubscribe link.
• No provider is connected yet; it will be named here before the first edition.

Your rights

Ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion. No reason needed. We extend these rights to everyone, wherever they live.

Children

This site is written for adults and isn't directed at children under 16.

Why we use your information

• Email list: only with your consent, when you sign up. You can withdraw it anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Emails you send us: to read and answer them, because you asked us to.
• Server logs: to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.

How long we keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Emails you send us: only as long as we need to reply and follow up.
• Server logs: a short time set by our web host, then deleted.

Who else handles it

Only our web host and our email list provider, once the list is connected. They may process data in the United States or other countries, under their own privacy terms. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

What you can ask for

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@obsessednaturalfoodie.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don’t track you across other websites, so every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
